“There is no use grumbling about German or any other competition,” said Mr O.F. Higham, M.P., to the Federation of British Music industries. ■ “Get on with your work and advertise. Don't stagnate. If you want to hold your market, advertise your wares. Tho British manufacturer has a fit of the ‘blues.’ That won’t help him to make money, to hold trade, or stop unemployment. “If you fear bad trade, you will got it more and more. If you want to sell more goods, advertise them in the press and. keep doing it. Publicity will cure any trade disease—even the ‘blues.’ It’s the greatest force for good will and good trade in the world to-day. Use it. Advertising is the life of trade.”
