NEW BANKING PREMISES.
.-Hie plans have been prepared by, Messrs. Burr and Mirfield for the alterations to Miller's auction mart, the leaso of which has been purchased by the Commercial Bank of Australia; These provide for the dismantling of .the old front doors and the erection of a suitable new bank entrance. The verandah will also be taken down hi order to make the front of the premises in keeping with the establishment. Inside the vestibule, there will be doors leading into the banking chamber. A manager’s office is to bo provided as usual, together with the accountant’s room, and tellers’ boxes and accommodation for the ledger clerks and others employed in the routine business of the bank. Then there will be the usual accommodation for clerks living on the premises, while everyth in sr is to be fitted up as is customary. Altogether the alterations will make the premises very complete in every way when completed. Tenders are to bo willed shortly for tlio work of effecting the alterations.
