NEW ZEALAND APPOINTMENT. WELLINGTON, this day. Following a well-established war precedent, the Government has appointed to a temporary position as official pub- | licity officer, Mr. 11. T. B. Drew, a Wellington journalist, whir served in [flic New Zealand Forces at (lie front. Tie was given a special service .during his military career to write articles descriptive of New Zealand hospitals and the care and education of soldiers while under treatment. The Government's object in making the appointment- is lu clear up a serious leeway in regard to New Zealand literature, practically nothing having been done in this resuect since before the war. though other countries seeking to attract immigrants have spent large sums on propaganda. —Herald Special. WELLINGTON, last night. The Hon. J. G. Anderson has •announced that Mr. H.. T. 8.. Drew , of the Wellington Post staff, has been appointed publicity agent under the Internal Affairs Department, which intends publishing for advertising purposes outside the Domitiion, booklets and pamphlets on Now Zealand from a scenic, commercial and agricultural standpoint.-—Press Assn: <
