TOLAGA BAY, this day. _ The annual meeting was continued this afternoon in fine weather, additional results being: WELTER HANDICAP, of 60 sovs; second horse to receive 10 sovs from stake. Minimum weight Bst. Distance 7 furlongs. Mr. J. Malone’s b g Atyqre, Birkenhead—Eos, 8.12 (H. Were) ... 1 Mr. J. Poole’s b g Gay Boy, 8.10 (Lowe) 2 Mr. B. Lowe’s blk g Orateur, 8.13 (Harwood) 51b. allowance ••• 3 Also started: Empire and Lady Flash. Sweet Corn and Hold Fox were scratched. Empire was rest-ess at the post and delayed the start. Gay Boy secured a good jump out from the barrier, followed by Empire and Aurore, with Orateur last. After four furlongs had been traversed Gay Boy was leading Aurore and Orateur, who had come up well in the straight. Gay Boy was still a length in front, but Aurore stayed on and won by a length, Orateur being .a length behind Gay Boy, with Empire fourth, and Lady Flash last. Time, 1.31. DISTRICT’ MAIDEN RACE of 45 sovs; second horse to receive 10 sovs from stake. For horses that have never won a race exceeding 15 sovs. in value, this meeting excepted. Minimum weight 9st. Distance 5 furlongs. j Mr J. Pool’s b g Ringakaha (Mira — Wonderland mare), syrs (T.ow-e) ... 1 Mr’McNeil's Highway (Dwyer) ... 2 Mr E. Kelly’s b g Glenray (Mulvihill) 3 —Also started : Syzygy (Olive), Heather Queen (Goldfinch), Frivolo (Harwood), Comino (Wdre), Goldmoor (Gordon). Glenray broke through the barrier and gave trouble. However, the field was evenly dispatched, Highway and Ringakaha taking the lead from Glenray and Frivolo, the rest of the field straggling behind. Before entering the straight, Ringakaha went to the front, -winning. easily by four lengths from Highway, who was two lengths ahead of Glenray. -. Frivolo was fourth.
