WEDDING.

HALEY —SIMMONS. A pretty and popular wedding , took place at lloly Trinity 'Gisborne, , on Wednesday, last, when Mr H.* J. Haley, third son of the late Mr [J. W. Haley, of Southbridge, Canterbury,-was married to Miss Florence 'Wright' Simmons, daughter of Mr and. Mrs W. H.-: Simmons, of Gisborne. The Rev. . 11. Packe was the officiating cleryman. The church was beautifully decorated -by friends of the bride. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful frock of white .charineuse, veiled with georgette and silver trimmings. A hand-embroidered • veil - was held in place with a spray of orange blossoms and the bridal bouquet, was of white roses and lilies. The bridesmaids were Miss Aleata Smale arid Miss Elsie Lawrence. They- were ■ attired tin pretty frocks of .pink and mauve’etepe-de-chine respectively and- carried bouquets of asters and roses.. The bridegroom’s present to the ..bride jwas .a beautiful gold brooch and to the bridesmaids pendants in chain and -bracelet respectively. The bride’s present to 'the bridegroom was a set of military brushes. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Dean Hacche as best man, and Mr'W. E. Allsup as groomsman. Tho bride’s mother was' attired in a handsome gown of navy hand embroidered georgette with hat en suite, and carried a bouquet of pink roses. The bridal party left the church to the strains of* the Wedding March, Mr E, N. Sjdebotttom presiding at the organ. After the ceremony the guests were entertained by the bride’s parents. The happy couple left Jater by car amidst showers of confetti. Tho bride’s going-away costume was nf>«na.trt. garbicord handsomely, -braided, witWßat en suite, • - '' ■- : ; -v.
