BALL AT MOTU.
. On Friday Evening last a ball was heldLi in Motu hall, under the direction of the Motu Tennis Club. Tlie < hall . was tastefplly decorated, and the arrangements ivere most satisfactory. . About 8.30 p.m.- : people began to arriVe,. and dancing, commenced- with, two or three extra; \valtzes until the musicians . arrived by t the evening train from Gisborne.* The" numbers grew rapidly until the companycbrmed one of the. largest which- had -at-? tended a d'aiicc iri -this district. The music vithou't question' the best ever .danced to in the, district, and the floor could aot have b€eh in. better form.
