ROTORUA, this day. Reginald Roy Pyke, aged 61, undergoing treatment at the sanatorium for neurasthenia, was found dead in the sanatorium grounds at 5.30 this morning, with a cord pulled tight round his neck and the end in his hands. He was missed by his room mates, who searched and found him near the Rachel spring. His wife died three weeks ago.
CHRISTCHURCH. this day. James Scott, a railway worker at Lyttelton, was found dead this morning by his wife with his throat cut.
