WELLINGTON, this day. Mr McCombs stated in the House that a gecret conference was taking place between the heads of the Officers' Guild, a Government representative, and the banks' representative to discuss salaries. He wished to know if the proceedings were being taken under the Arbitration Act.
Mr Massey replied that ifc was an extraordinary statement. He had not heard a word of it. ■
