ENGLISH CRICKET TEAM.
(Received Sept. 14, 2.20 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 13. Faulkner, reviewing the English team, expects England to retain the ashes, but criticises the fielding, especially the ou> field, The howling is doubtful. Though Parkm is a most uncomfortable howler he is far below Barnes. After the first matches his slows beepmo expensive* Douglas will have to bear the brunt cf the attack. Wilson's length will likely result In atone-wall batting, and many a long day's fielding. Hobhs, Hearne, Hendren, Russell, and Woolley are at the top of their form, but^ their best is needed, as seldom has England had a greater tail.— United Service.
