TENNIS.
The annual meeting' of the Glsboma Lawn Tennis Club \yas held on Saturday night m the offices of Messrs. Burnard and Bull. Mr. L. T. Burnard, who presided over a good attendance' of members, reported that the past -season 'had been a fairly successful one, the*-finan-cial position; as shown by ; the statement of receipts' and expenditure, disclosing a credit balance of £18- )s 9d;. A>^iew court had been laid down,,.:andi sundry other additional works to the court* had been carried out, which would be met by; the subscriptions for the coming, season. , The election -of 'officers resulted as follows: President, Mr. L. T. Burnard; vicepresidents, . Messrs. R. v. Burke and J. B. Broadhurst; committee, Messrs. A. J. White, N. Bull, and R. Wijlock; secretary, Mr. C.--H. Bull; treasurer, , Mr. C. L. ■afßrgolioutli; hon. Auflitor,' Mr; S. A. Cover. The committee reported" that the membership list was full, and that at present no farther members could be enrolled. It is hoped to have , the courts ready for play \ for the last* Saturday In October. '- ■ , The meeting concluded with votes of thhnks to the retiring officers, and to the chairman for presiding.
