GERMANY AND THE TREATY.
BERLIN, Sept. 9. Jlip scheme fftr the re-organisation and de-militarisation of the German police on a numerical basis of 350,000, in, accordance with, the JSntente's demands, provides that the men shall servo 14 yeara. Each will be armed with- a revolver aaVd hand grenades, -with a ■carbine to every three men, «w automatic rifle to every twenty, and an .'armored car to every thousand.' The Entente has been requested to allow the forces to be equipfied with machine- guns, also a carbine or every man. — A. and N.Z.C.A.
