GRAND JUNCTION (Colorado), June 27.— "Cherokee Bill," <_ veteran of the plains and a soldier m the war of 1812, has just celebrated his 123 rd birthday at^ the County Home here. 1 "Cherokee Bill" is the only name this old Indian knows. In/ the early days ho fought with bow and arrow among the aborigines, and even used, that primitive weapon, he says, When he enlist- ' ed m the army at the age of 15, and fought th© British m 1812-. He was • born on Jqno 6, i 797, and has been twice, listed m the United States census as the oldest native of America. '•! Cherokee Bill fe getting feeble, but he still has 'A good appetite. j
