i. 7 - STOCK SALES. ; Tho stock sales wero continued at the Matawhero yards this afternoon, the following further sales being recorded : — Store Sheep :- 15, hoggets (mixed) 9s lOd, 18 2-tooth owes (in. lamb) 34s fid, 24- ewes (f . and .f .) 24e 9d, 19 hoggets (mixed) 19s 6d, 18 hoggets (mixed) 21s, 12 mixed ewes (m lamb) 34s 3 hoggets 20s 6d, 17 hoggets (mixed) 12s 6d. * Storo Cattle: There- were 560 store cattle yarded. The Gisborne Sheepfarmers' Frozen Meat and Mercantile Co.; Ltd. (Mercanr tile Branch), report on the MataWherq stock sale held on Wednesday. 'September 25. as' follpws:' A fair -yarding of ghecp, riiostiy, composed of hoggets and ewes m lamb, came forward, and although the attendance was about 'usual, there was not -the K^nvflerifend that has been m evidence for the past two or three .sales,; and consequently there, were* a lot' or sheep passed m under the hammer, but m most cases they were" disposed of privately.
