A statement has been f amished to the Minister of Railways by th© Department, showing the amount of railway coal that has been released by the Department to local bodies ana essential industries throughout the country between October 1, 1919, and May 26, 1920. The gross amount was 127,880 ions, />nd the coal has been released at one time or another iwithin this period to practically every Jocal body, gag company, and freezing works m the country, as well as a great deal to other industries. Some has been released also for urgent domestic requirements m different localities. i ■ ——
