The banks have met all demands. Public confidence is restored, and the run cm the banks has ceased.
(Received May 29, 9.15 a.m.) TOKIO, May 27. Twelve branches of the Seventy-fourth Bank of Yokohama and the Yokohama Savings Bank suspended payments. The former institution is heavily interested m silk and cotton transactions.
