MELBOURNE, May 22. Tile Premiers' con.ference has opened. It was decided that legislation should' be introduced providing for the uniform marking of Australian-made gopds. The conference adopted a proposal under which a member of the State Parliament could stand for the Federal Parliament without his seat becoming vacant and if not elected could automatically return to the State House.
