Yesterday afternoon, on the Gisborne Club's green, the competition for the Harding Shield was commenced, when the players resident in the Kaiti district met those residing in the City area. Two rinks were the strength of each side, and the contest resulted in a win, for Kaiti by a margin of 14 points. The results were as follows: —. Iv C Ashton, H.
