DUNEDIN, last night. Mr. T. K. Sidey who has represented Dunedin South m Parliament for nearly 18 years, has decided not to seek reelection.
WELLINGTON, last night. It is estimated that the population of New Zealand on June 30, exclusive of Maoris and residents of the island dependencies, wa s 1,139,014. The addition of the Maoris and natives m the islands brings the total to 1,201,587. TAUMARUNUI, last night. A serious accident happened to' C. Trengrove, a settler, employed at Stevens, Henderson and Co.'s mill; Piriaka. He fell under the moving track and sustained a compound fracture of the .right avm.,'. Medioal'aid was obtained and the man was removed to the Taumarunui hospital. ft. , •
