LONDON, August 6. The King, jn a letter to Mr Lloyd George, said : — "The honors and awards for the Army,. the. Navy, and tho Air Force are now submitted to Parliament., I feel tlie people share my regret that it is not possible to expressthe nations grateful. . recognition of the pre-eminent ,. services the Primt' Minister has rendered both m carrying the war to a victorious end and m securing an honorable peace. To mark my high appreciation of your services it gives me great pleasure to confer on you the Order of .Merit."
