LONDON, June 27.— A garden party held at . Buckingham Palace was the most brilliant summer entertainment of the season, and is regarded as a welcome innovation replacing the formalities of the usual Court reception. Many Australians were present. There ,was no sunshine, but the warmth permitted the most delicate castumes to be worn. Conspicuous features of the decorations of these cost.iimes were rare Venetian, Spanish and Irish laces.
