' LOS ANGELES, May i.— Batine Duikett, motion-picture actress, "Was severely' injured here when attacked by a bear while staging a comedy film at the William Fox studio;.. She Was severely bitten 1 and claWed oh the _.rms, back, Shoulders ahd breast. The bear was the mascot of the 147 th Infantry, and Was named "Theda Bara," the famous ftlrii vampire having given the animal to the regiment.
