JUVENILE ENTERTAINERS.
,- • AT THE OPEKA HOUSE. The attractive entertainment at th. Opwa House on Saturday night \v_w a totting climax to the a_duous wori gratuitously performed by Mr. Kenned*, Black m training a band of children, mere was a crowded audience. The entertainment was held under tho aus pices of the Women's National Re serve, the proceeds being devoted tc une beadn improvement fund __■___ whole programme was a. great success the + choruses, solos, etc., being all excel lent, and there being /numerous enthus mstic recalls. An outstanding feature among the performances was that Oi Master Leslie Hayward, who cleverh sang and mutated Harry Lauder ii Roamin m the Gloamui* " and received a double encore. Nancy East wood was also recalled twice for hei •RnfiR han „ m S^on s , "By the Big Blu< BiUabong which was accompanied hi a graceful dance. Misses Mackenzie and Duncan cause. much fun with a coon duet, and a cor. net solo hy Master Nunns was ver*, pleasing. «^h e Booby Boo," by Lottw ftoweU, supported by the chorus, was a JE3 v? There was a capital dii Play of Highland dancing by Gladvi Newey, assisted by sixteen gMs. Th< second portion of the programme comprised the screening of the. fine Work & am £-. "T° Him Th»* Hath." Hi. Worship the Mayor was among those present and congratulated Mr Kennedy iJlack on. th© entertainment. ,As sc many^ were unable to gain admission it lias .been decided to repeat 'the enter, tamment next Saturday night witl some new .attractions.
