, It is proposed to erect a monument of noble proportions on the highest cliffs of CDover to the memory of the men of the Dover Patrol, and a similar monument, on the French coaßt to the memory of their French comrades. • Subject to adequate financial support, it is also proposed to* present to the American people a lasting testimony to the affection with which the men of the American navy are regarded by the "comrJdes of the mist." It is difficult to do justice to the work of the Dover Patrol. The thrilling story of the drifters, of H.M.S. Broke and Swift, and the daring episode of St. George's Day, which has added one of the finest pages to the book of battles,, are fresh in, the nation's memory.
