11 The monthly meeting of committee 'was held last evening in the Government Buildinus. Present : Messrs. Armstrong, Carr, Fletcher, Lovell, Sinnet, Venning, Westbrooke, and Wheeler. The election of officers for the year ending March 31, 1920, was confirmed as follows; Corresponding secretary and chairman, W. J. Wheeler; vice-chairman, H. Carr 5 secretary and treasurer, F, T. Venning; trustees, H. Carr and W. H. Fletcher; auditor, C. F. C. White. Remits for the Wellington conference in June were discussed' and it was agreed to support tho following : (1) That the time has arrived for an alteration in the procedure of the Appeal Board: Each appellant should have the indisputable right to bo assisted by counsel in the conduct of his appeal. Tliat after an appeal has been lodged no verbal or written munication affocting the status of appellant should be withheld from him or liis agent or counsel, who should have the right to see his personal file at least .two Weeks prior to hearing of appeal; (3). that every report made under P.S. „ regulation 42 be initialled by individual officers before the same is forwarded td the Commissioner; (3) that, considering the Act protects the Board from frivolous appeals by throwing their cost upon appellants, every appellant should be entitled to ha,ve his appeal heard by the Board; (4) tbat the 'quantum of finding means of raising the pension to widows tinder the P.Si. Superannuation, Act bo again considered by the conference; (5) that the civil servants retirintr through reaching the age of 65 be paid a n*ini« m mum superannuation of #1 per week,
