Mahoney, 13 McKenzie met J. Rangihieka (stroke)', J. Mackay, Rangi. J. Count. Griffen drew away at tha start, and he maintained the lead to the William Pettie bridge. Passing the Kaiti bridge, the lead was increased a- length, 'which was maintained. H. Swan (stroke) Dr Gunn, M. Burt, R. Duncan beat J Patty (strode), B. Warren, G. Duncan' J. Mackay: "This was a good racp' Swan gained Jjalf-a-lengtli at the start. At the William Pettie bridge Patty drew even, the crews racing together to about the Tuatea, when Swan drew ahead, finally winning by two feet.
