CERTIFICATES OF THANKS.
"UTTERLY .UNDESIRABLE." (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. At a meeting /of the Hospital Board a letter was received from' Dr. Valintine stating that the Minister of Public Health had decided that a special certificate of thanks be presened to persons who had rendered valuable voluntary aid during the influenza epidemic, and asking for the tiames of those to whom they should be issued. The Board passed a resolution, expressing the opinion that the whole thin^ was utterly undesirable and impossible^ '
