Among the- Germans repatriation from England- ou Saturday Iras Franz von - Veltbeim, who slew Woolf Joel at Johannesburg m 1898. was acquitted of murder on the plea of Selfdefences. He was sentenced at the Old Bailey m 1908 to twenty years'imprisonment, for demanding with menaces, sixteen, thousand pounds sterling from bolomon Barnato and Joel. Von Veltheim is looking well after his long; term m prison and nine months m art internment camp. *
