Mr Home informed the Miners' Federation that the proposed ballot paper ought in fairness to pi'esent not only the men's demands but the correct statement of the Government's attitude, as cabled on- the 11th.
The Sunday ■ Times reports that a group of banks in. the city is subscribing the bulk of the capital for the projected .Overseas N Bank, which will specialise in foreign business, notably the granting of the extensive accommodation that will be needed after international trade resumes and ultimately surpasses normal dimensions. The promoters point out that the constituent < banks will be spared the expense of opening separate branches abroad. .
