' Mr Lloyd George said that no proposal had been made at the Peace Conference to recognise the Bolshevists. . Russia j presented a difficult rprqbletn. 'While an immense country was seething with anarchy,, disorder, and bloodshed the world could not have peace. The. Government were considering alternative methods, including honest straightforward intervention. The Allies had already ; 4 provided > these Huns with munitions. America was sending neither men nor materials. If men went England and France wculd have to provide^ them. The Government" sought; to conferi ,wiih the Bolshevists in the hope of finding a way out of chaos. ! ■•
