PARIS, Feb. 12. Mr Hughes, in a memorandum, mentions that the island of ' Nauru i? desirable to incorporate in the Australian mandate, but Australia is prepared to accept any mandate acceptable to Britain, Mr Massey is presenting a memorandum claiming that Nauru should be incjuded in the New Zealand mandate.
The Foreign Office has drafted terms of the New Zealand mandate for. Samoa. These are regarded as very satisfactory. It is provided that there shall be no compensation for German property or works, and the adequate deience of the island. ■ ...
