LONDON, Dec. 26. Christmas festivities held; in the hospitals were marked -by more than ■> the , usual gaiety. There *3ias 'been recently ;a cdnsiderabile' reduction m the number of i patients, as ho wounded - are now coming through and the majority _ of patients are those whose' more -serious wounds are slowly healing,- or who are victims of influenza. Concerts; dinners^ and dances made the day pass cheerily.' The wards were gaily decorated, - prizes being , given for the most artistic; Santa Glaus visited each ward, . and';. every "digger" woke to find something 'm -his stocking. ■ ... ' , v At. If the Allies send a force to Russia there will be no New Zealand ( con.tirigent, and it is understood- that any New Zealanders volunteering will have to join the British army. ' t
