HOCKEY.

The weekly meeting of the Poverty Bay _ Hockey Association was held last evening. Mr. P. Sim presided. It was decided to bracket Kia Toa and Allies as winners of the Thnrßdav competition, each club to hold the shield for six months. A committee was formed., to meet _pn the grounds on Wednesday afternoon, at 5 o'clock, to remove all nets and stow away m the shed. Various amounts were .passed for payment. A • deputation from th© OYicket Association waited on the Hockey Association m reference "to the nso of the grounds during the summer months. It was decided that as this association intended having the grounds top-dressed as soon as possible, to instruct the secretary of the Hockey Association to write to the Cricket Association of ' the former a ssociaMon's intention. A special meeting of all delegates will be held on ; Friday evening at 7.30 for the final -wind-up of the season's work.
