Advice has been received by Mr and Mrs R. Gardiner, of 54 Ormond road, that their fourth son, Cprpl. Allan Gar- ; diner, who is serving with the Austi'aHail forces, has been wounded. Only a few days ago, they werV acquainted with the sad news that their third son had died — a hero's death., . They have another son, ■Arthur, on war service m Palestine, and their eldest son, Percy, has now been .called up. All will hope that Corpl. Allan Gardiner as not severely wounded and that he will soon be quite well again. Mrs. A. T. Hayes, 310 Palmerston road, has received advice that her youngest Bon, Pte. Frank Clement Hayes, was reported missing on August 31. Pte. Hayes left with- 'the 29th Reinforcements. Airs. Hayesiias two ikms but of three) at the war,-;.tTie other, Pte. William Hayes, being -wounded recently.
