A NEW HOSPITAL.
FOR PHTHISICAL CASES. LONDON, July 9. ... The treatment of phthisical cases awaiting ._, return -to New Zealand" has been a matter of a good deal of conjsideration lately, and Genei'al Richardson has now approved the establishment of a separate hospital not far from the j present Discharge Depot at, Toreyuay. In the past, phthisical cases have had !to be detained m the' general hospital — 'an arrangement not satisfactory to the patients themselves or to other-. inmates. Tlie new hospital will have about 200 beds, and its establishment will enable .men suffering from lung trouble m the incipient stage to receive special treatment. The N.Z.E.F. h^s also recently taken over a small hospital- at Bulford hither, to useel by. the Australians. It will be used for the accommodation of sick men from Sling Camp.
