This morning's attack by the Third Army was completely successful. We are now actually within 300 yards of the Queant-Drocourt switch line, whicH is even a more elaborate obstacle than the original Hindenburg line. It consists of five distinct lines, traversed with trenches and honeycombed with machine-gun emplacements and deep dug-outs. It is widely wired.
