BURGLARIES IN AUCKLAND.
ARRESTS MADE. MEN WITH REVOLVERS AND GELIGNITE: (Per Press Association). AUCKLAND, last night. Another burglary, the sixth, within four weeks, is reported to-day ", the premises of the Government oyster depot on the waterfront having beeii entered last night. The safe was blown open by explosives and destroyed completely, the windows shattered and sotne furniture damaged. The thieves secured only 455. AUCKLAND, this day. James -Davem and John McLelland, two men alleged to be implicated m some of tho numerous burglaries, were arrested by the police ih a boardinghouse m Wellesley street on Sunday morning. Both were asleep, and were handcuffed before they could offer resistance. The police found a loaded revolver under Davem's pillow, and: several plugs of gelignite, under his bed, while there was a loaded revolver on a pillow alongside McLelland's head, and more gelignite under McL*S_and's mattress. A third arrest- was made last mght. A young man named Charles McC'onmmk, believed to be implicated m breaking and entering premises m Queen street, was arrested near, his home m Grey Lynn. '
