The Coal Controller announces that the surface workers ift ceitain Yorkshirecolliea'ies threaten to strike, primarily over the disputed horn's. The underground workers have also given notice. A lage number of men are affected, and a great part of the Yorkshire collieries are likely to be idle to-morrow. Tlie controller adds tliat he has been trying to settle the dispute by arbitration, but the miners' leaders refuse. Tlie controller appealed to the men to consider the matter, but regrets that there is no sign of their doing so.
