A Vienna telegram to the Geneva papers states that the Sozial Demokratische Correspondenz contains the following threat: "The committee of the Socialist Party and the committee of the German Socialist Deputies' Club have decided to publish a. mrmifesto informing the workers that Psuliament has been adjourned owing to the inability of the Government to control the Assembly for fear of discussion of the Emperor's letter to Prince Sixte and the motives for Czernin's resignation.

"If absolution be re-established," the. manifesto says, "out of regard for PanGermanism, which is prolonging tho war, if it be intended that Austria shall again be governed after the manner of Count Sturgh, the working classes will be forced to . fight for their risrhts." The manifesto ends with an exhortation to the workers to hold themselves ready to fight if it becomes necessary BERNE. May 26/' The Vienna Arbeiter Zeitune "(Socialist) laughs to scorn as childish and criminal the idea of the Government that it can soothe the passions of the mob nnd solve the crisis by the simple expedient of proroguing Parliament until the -storm has blowh over.
