The Red l Cross has been advised that the first Australian escapee to reach .Russia from Germany is-Privato John Newman, of the 17th Battalion. He was imprisoned m East Prussia, and, escaping, reached Petrograd. He is now at Archangel* ■•• ■'•.'.., Lieutenant Norman Camming, ot the 22nd Battalion, has arrived m London from Holland, where he was interned 1 for three months after escaping from Uer[m.iny. *"•
