Ml 1 . Hoover, the Food Controller, believes that the meat-ration m Germany has reached "danger point." He, gives : t as 56z. a \veek. The German people, he states, are now beginning to feel the full effect of the American embargo which, cut of£ exports of' fodder to Holland and the northern neutral nations, making it necessary for them, instead of sending large quantities of fats into .Germany, to slaughter pigs . and cattle for themselves. The number of pigs m Denmark, according to Hr. Hoover, has been reduced by three-fourths,! and cattle -m Holland by- a fourth. : Germany, by reason of this, was able to get for a timo large quantities of meat, but the situation has now changed owinc to. the exhaustion o.f ; this ' apuVce.' Shipments if pork, beef, and cereals to the Allies are proceeding m great quantities.":
