June 18> j Axv Italian evening communique says : The enemy ora the 17th (Monday) did' not renew his infantry attacks on the mountains and on the Mbntello front. Our troops made successful drives and occupied a number of positions, capturing machine-guns and some hundreds of prisoners. . ■ • , Important actions developed south of Montelilo and Along the Piave, i.n the ! M>ne between Zinson nna Foss<a-, bit the enemy everywhere was stopped' by oiir J counter-attacks and ' abandoned seVeral hundreds of prisoners. , Attempts to cross the river between Maserada and Pandeluc vrerq repulsed with bloody losees. Other counter -attacks, now- developing on the lower Piave, have assured us of advantages.
