(Received June 8; 2.20 p.m.) LONDON. June 7,
War experts are insisting on the farreaching significance of the appearance of American forces m. the battle of the Marne. The Supreme Allied War Council, envisaging war from the standpoint of the strategic reserve, relies on tlie Amercm armies to end the sti-ugg'e and Jives the British and French reserve power with which it may even enable Rtissh. to throw off the Teuton bondage and participate m tihe final struggle. It must a'so be remembered that the Genran •casualties have already far exoeedad the amount of killed and wounded agreed upon between the pan-German Socialists and the war leaders iwhen the desirability of the present offensive was mooted.
