SEVERLY PUNISHING THE ENEMY

LONDON, June 7. Sir Douglas Haig's aviation report •states : —
We dropped 20 tons, of bombs ori the sth on ) targets, including dumps, railways ahd billets; also on the Armentieres andi Ro^-e railway stations, and the' Zeebrugge seaplane base. Our long-distance day bombers heavily attacked the railway station and 1 barracks at Yreves, aud the railway station at Metz Ablons, and railways at Kaarthans. All returned.
We brought down seven hostile machanes, and drove down three during the day. Four British machines are missing. Our night bombers dropped 13 tons of bombs on St. Quentin, Baisigny, Ga,mbrai. and Armentieres railway stations, and all returned.
Our long-distance bombers the same night dropped five tons of bombs with good effect on Metz, Ablons railway stations and Thionville railway sidings. Qn the morning of the 6th we heavily attacked Coblenz railway station, ana good bursts were observed on the line. All our machines returned.
