-. aft* ANOTHER U'A v rCH ARRIVES. A. t'ui'tlier <ltaft of invalided .soldiers arrived! from Auckland -by the Arahura last night, and were met by Messrs F. R. Ball .and' G. 0.- Mumw* (Citizens' Defence Committee), A. 11. Lange (secretary of ■ the 'Returned Stoldiers' Association)', C. White ' and R, Slierratt (Waikohu County Council). When the tender returned to the wharf about 7 p.m., a large number of people liad congregated, and as the boat drew up three cheers iwere given for thb returned men on board. On disemibarking they were met by Mr J. B. Broadhurst, of the Citizens' Defence Committee, who made arrangements for transport' of <the men to their respective homes, cars being placed at 'lus disposal by Messrs R. Sherratt, R. Caulton, Blair, and) Buscke. Tliere were 19 men on 'board, as follows : — Rifleman F. W. Ripley left with the 23rd Reinforcements, and was injured in the thigh and log on the transport going Home. Rifleman E. Mills left with tho 14tlf Reinforcements, and took -part in tlie Somme subsequent engagements, being gassed 1 in the Ploegsteert affair. He spent about fcwo months in various hospitals beforo being invalided liome. Riflemen D. L. Cameron left New Zealand with tho 16fhs, and in the Fleur Baix affair w*as wounded in the leg. On recovery he went back to France, apd sustained shell-shock at La BaAseville. He was altogether about nine .months in various hospitals in England. Rifleman W. Foden was a member of the 20th Reinforcements, and was in the "fine zone" fronx Somme' to Messines, when he was gassed, and sustained a severe leg 'wound. Rifleman E. 'R. Ormes was one of the Alain Body men. %Le was in .the Egyptian "stunts;" and later went .to .' F^anee'-. He was wounded in both legs .in the • Somme fight, and spent about fjour montlis in- hospital Private F. H. Smale left with the 23rd Reinforcements, aaid took part in Mes- | sines. Dumphy left Avith. thc 12th Reinforcements, and was in Egypt and France*, being severely wounded in the abdomen at P^asschendaele. He Avas about hve months in hospital in England and France. Private- GV Gallop left. Avith the 29ths, and Avast Avounded in the elbqw, in the, .New Zealand sector in France,- 011 January 21st last. Private F. G. Leggett was a number of the 25tlt Reinforcements, and at the recent Ypres fight he was wounded in tlie leg. Private F. Mugford left with the 25th Reinforcements, suid received a nasty Avound in the faco at Passohendaele. •Private R. Rangi left with the Main Body, and was Avounded in tho thigh at 3 outpost on Gallipoli, being sent to England. On recovery Qte returned to France, and Avas iwounded in tlie other hip at Passdieudaele. . "Ho was three montlis in hospital ia Torquay. Corporal H. Clarke left Avith the. 9th Reinforcements.
