TERRITORIAL OFFICERS.
-^ — (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, this day. The Minister of Defence said to-day that it was very unfortunate the Defence Department could not find room m the Expeditionary i^orce for ail commissioned! Territorial officers as officers, as a number of men who had' seen service were returning to New Zealand with commissions to join the reinforcement drafts. Several Territorial officers .concerned had volunteered. Some were accepted, and other applications were delayed: Some entered camp, and were eager to get away, but owing to the reduction, m the percentage of reinforcements had to be held ba-ck. It was much to be regretted that men ahould have to come m as sergeants, but every effort would be made alter they entered camp to iind places for them with their commission*.
