AMERICAN LABOR DELEGATION.

RECEPTION BY THE KING. (Australian and N.Z Cabl« Association.) LONDON, May 16. The King and Queen gave a reception at Buckingham Palace to the American Labor delegation. His Majesty, m welcoming them, said : "It has always been my dream, which the war has fulfilled, that the British and American nations should work together m close and harmonious relations towards the ideal of the progress of civilisation common to both peoples. Ho hoped that after the war they would continue to stand together." Mr. McCormick, one of the delegates, assured the King that the delegation was impressed with the magnitude of Britain's war effort. America would not be behind with her contribution to the common cause. ■
