(Special to the Herald.) WELLINGTON, this day. Stringent regulations . m prohibit any person from giving . or assisting to obtain intoxicating liquor for any soldier who wears hospital blue, indicating he 'is under medical care. The maximum punishment for a > breach of this order is/ £.IOO. To. protect soldiers landing m Auckland this week the local 6fficer commanding .''caused the hotels to be closed. This was not done m Wellington.' The Minister of Defence, on being asked the reason, said that perhaps there "Was not the same ' necessity, but he is having regulations prepared to prohibit giviug drink to soldiers under medical treatment. Tho system is m vogue m Australia.
