NEW YORK, March 15. , "Liberty trenches" — a reproduction of a sector of the, trenches occupied by tjhe American tropps m France — have bee» set up on a Central T?'< n % meadow, with the co-operation of . tho United Stales and French Governments, as.. a. stimulus to the third Liberty .loan. The Board of^ Estimate upon being asked permission for tho use of 0110 of the meadows for tho .duratidn of tho war, appropriated a sum not to exceed £5000 for the reproduction of the trenches.
