HEAVY FIRE
(Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) NEW YORK, April 29. The United Press correspondent at the American front m Picardy states that the Americans have taken over a. section east of Amiens. They entered the new position© at night-fall Tinder heavy enemy fire. The French general issued an order of the day, stating: '"We congratulate the Americans who a,re now writing their first page m the history of the battle of the nations. America will play a glorious .part m the bat tin for the triumph of liberty."
