Second-Lieutenant . H. N. Coleman, eldest son of Mr and Mrs J. H. Coleman, of Napier, iwas killed m action on the 13th inst. He -was a, married man. with several children. He volunteered, for service some eighteen months ago, and had at the time of hisr death' been m Franco' only a fortnight. He joined the 24th Reinforcements/ and rose from the "rank and file."- ... .

Private Septimus ,B.. Davison, who. has been' killed •* m "action, - was the seventh son of Mrs, M. A; -Davison and the late Mr. P. Davison, formerly of Whangaroa and Utokurar Be -was 36 years of age, and priori tbf enlisting was engaged m tho sawmalling. industry in* -Tolaga Bay, where* he was m. partnership with his younger brother, Private O. G. Davison, who is now on active service m France.
Lieutenan^ Harold Rolleston Brittarln (killed) was a spon of Mr. F. H. Brittain," of Avonside; Christchurch. He was ; born m Caiiterb'«ry, .was educated' at the Christchurchi District Boys' High School, and was subsequently ©mployed by Messrs. Fletcher j Humphreys, and Co. He was - an ; officer m the Territorial Forces, and took an active part m sport, He left with, the '27th Reinforcements. Two of his brothers lost their lives on Gallipoli, and the eldest brother is still with the army m France.
